Hi all, I have a small problem with the bootup sequence of KDE. I'm running a usual standard SuSE 9.0 installation with all relevant patches. When the system boots into the KDE GUI and I login as a normal user I get a message box which states "Das Programm krandinithack (krandinithack) ist abgestürzt und hat das Singal 11 (sigsegv) veranlaßt" If on the opposite I login as root this doesn't happen (yep, I know, I shouldn't log into the GUI as root. This was just for test purposes). Everything else runs vanilla as far as I can see. As it doesn't happen as root, I guess I have a problem with the proper user rights? Or maybe some files are missing in ~? Any guess what to do? And what at all is/does krandinithack? I couldn't find any information on the net, though I must admit I didn't try to dig too deep, just googled for krandinithack with no hits at all resulting. Thx for your help Peter -- So, now you say I'm redundant, that I repeat myself, that I say things over and over again.
