That is true, 0.11.2 is available, but it seems to need some libs not available to install. I believe it was libk3bdevice and some others. I haven't found a file that includes those yet, but I'm guessing you have Ben for it to install?
Well, I stand corrected. I've got 9.0 installed at work and just tried to install k3b (even though I don't have a burner) and it puked with the error you discribe. I went to my home machine that has a burner and checked which pkg it came with it..it came with k3b. So the packman pkg is indeed broken. I compiled the k3b pkg that's installed on my 8.2 box.
Sorry about all that.
Something else that has been reported is that MPlayer now needs libsmbclient, which sounds strange to me. Did something unexpected happen at the packman build machine maybe?

Don't remember having a problem with the last MPlayer Richard, unless he has uploaded a new one lately. There is now a repaired K3B available, as I installed that last evening. I guess someone alerted them to the missing libs for k3b. This is my version of MPlayer: MPlayer-1.0pre3-pm.1 Is there a newer version available now?
