How can I upgrade individual compents using Yast? I perform weekly online updates of my system but aaa_base apparently is not one that has a security issue or has needed patching. The only reason it is at a higher version than the std SuSE 8.2 release is because I did a YAST system upgrade of KDE to 3.1.4 several months ago and that upgrade went with out a hitch. thanks for help. bh

When I try to do the YAST system upgrade and am pointed to the leo ftp site and the directory yast-source the following dependencies show up. I will spare you the entire print out. I can't figure out what to do.
aas_base is available arts is behind a version I am running the bash shell
I don't get it. I guess you might say I am clueless at this juncture. Any clue would be helpful.
I suppose there are two kinds of problems: the ones that many people encounter and the ones that seem unique. Yours seems unique, but I'd guess that the most fundamental problem is the one with bash and aas_base (or is is aaa_base)?
I'd try updating aaa_base from leo first and get that squared away and get the bash problem cleared up before working on anything else.
