When I go to upgrade using:
Rpm -Uvh *.rpm (I downloaded all the updated KDE packages from SUSE's website).
I get this: kdebase3-SuSE <= 9.0 conflicst with kdebase3-3.2.0-7
Kdebase3-SuSE needs to be removed for 3.2, which means you will lose SuSE plugger and watcher and a couple of desktop icons. General opinion seems to be that SuSE have not updated it but will probably do so sometime soon. I've not had any problems since I manually check for updates using Yast.
The other possibility would be to keep Kdebase3-SuSE and force the installation of everything else. I think I read a report of someone who said they had done that successfully, but it's clearly something you do at your own risk. My own experience says that 3.2 is not ready for prime time yet. I installed it and ended up reverting to 3.1.4. Paul Abrahams
