Hi, sorry for my former posting in German - I didn't realize in time, that this mailinglist is English language only. But there is some update on my problem: Problem description: I am trying to log on my Linux Server (SUSE 9.0, kde 3.1.4) from my Windows XP (with Xmanager as XServer) to kde/kdm. I am able to display a xterm via ssh. But.... If I am trying to connect to my linux server via XDM broadcast, my linux host is displayed as a potential server; I am connectiong to the linux server, seeing for about one second a light blue background (of my linux server) and the connection closes. In the /var/log/messages I can see: Kdm: Greeter exited unexpectedly. Kdm: Abnormal helper termination, code 1, signal 0. Solution guess was: I have seen the bug trace for http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68496 But: ...but in my scenario this happens independantly of starting the xserver in single-window or multi-window mode. Any additional tipps?? Am Mittwoch, 28. Januar 2004 23:01 schrieb Charlie Blank:
