Suddenly, my KDE could not get started. I have been able to fix this by moving .kde to .kde.old, but I would like to reuse that one if possible I am running SuSE 8.1 with KDE 3.1.3, and had been running it like this since a few weeks. After running into problems with Konqueror while browsing (started to loose connections) I tried to relogin, when KDE would suddenly did not want to restart... KDM seemed to run ok. But when I tried to login as a user the splash screen started, then hung when initializing peripherals. Trying to login as root was a bit more helpful as there was a window appearing claiming that: Could not start ksmserver. Check your installation. (or something to that end) I tried to google for ksmserver, but cannot find anything useful... Any idea about what I can do now to get KDE back to its old glory? Kostas
