Kpoker has much the same problem Oliver. No fronts are shown anymore on the cards. The backs only appear for a short time as well. Seems there are programs that need updating or QT3 has added or changed something that these programs depend on now. I also get a problem in KBear with the window sizing/closing gadgets. They are blank in the inner windows, but the main window is fine.

Do you encounter the following problem to. Just clicking on the "?" in the window title bar, crashed the window manager kwin. Not all apps have the "?" (for help) on the window title bar, konqueror does have it though. Be sure to prepare your desktop for logout!
