You have to start the gnome-control-center daemon on every start of kde to maintain the setttings of gnome. put a symobilic link link to /opt/gnome2/bin/gnome-settings-daemon in your ~/.kde/Autostart directory, e.g.: open a shell; cd ~/.kde/Autostart ln -s /opt/gnome2/bin/gnome-settings-daemon gnome-settings-daemon that's it. Restart Kde (logoff and logon) and it should be OK. Bye Alle 10:28, giovedì 21 agosto 2003, ovidiu pascui ha scritto:
Hi I already exposed my problem some months ago but I got no answer, so I figure out that may be now somebody else has it. So to make the story short: I'm running a SuSE 8.2 Pro (clean install) and KDE 3.1.3. There are several gtk2 applications which I usually use (gnomemeeting, gaim, thunderbird, gftp, etc.) but when I start those under KDE or any othe window manager except Gnome2 I get ugly, tiny fonts. If I start the gnome-controlcenter and open and close the fonts tab, gtk2 applications get their correct fonts but then all other kde fonts get twice as big as normally. I installed all packages from the gnome, gnome-devel groups which come with the distribution and also they are the latest versions but I still have this problem. Please help me!
