A client of mine shut down their linux machine, moved it to another room, rebooted, and now they get this error on login: There is an error setting up interprocess communications for KDE. The message returned by the system was: Could not read network connection list /root/.DCOPserver_<servername>-:0 Can anyone help me figure this out? They can't even log into KDE. If they enter the login/password they get the error message above. The only option is 'OK' which brings them right back to the login screen. ALSO ... I need to be able to log into this machine (which is set up across my VPN) and make the changes remotely (via SSH?) I can ping the machine, but I cannot SSH into it. Machine is running SuSE 7.3 Pro Help! --- Eric Carbone
