Hi, as I installed SuSE 8.1, KDE 3 works fine! But, since I use the online update I can't login in a second session! Maybe a KDM update is responsible. So, I loaded down the KDE 3.1 update from the suse ftp-server and installed 3.1. Now it's strange: after I start a new session "focus" switched to F8, but there is not login window only a blue vertical gradient background. Now I switch to F7 and back to F8 and I wonder, there is a login window and the background is the familiar one. How can I cut off this behavior? /var/log/messages says: ... kdm_config[2379]: Unrecognized section name [Desktop0] at /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:1 kdm_config[2379]: Urecognized key 'LogSource' at /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:866 kdm_config[1741]: Unrecognized key 'ShowLog' at /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:87 after an link from /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc --> /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc ... kdm_config[2379]: Unrecognized key 'EnableChooser' at /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:67 kdm_config[2379]: Unrecognized key 'LogSource' at /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:68 kdm_config[2379]: Unrecognized key 'ShowLog' at /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:69 once more: after I login, there is an ugly gray background, sooner there was an red for root or blue background. How can I get back the other backgrounds? regards wolfgang
