Since I upgraded to SuSE 8.1 I can no longer mount a remote sambashare on an winbox from my desktop. The kdelinkfile looks like this: [Desktop Entry] Dev=//Godzilla/GODZILLADATA Encoding=UTF-8 FSType=Default Icon=windows_harddrive_mount MountPoint=/windows/godzilla/data ReadOnly=false Type=FSDevice UnmountIcon=windows_harddrive_unmount The entry in the fstab-file looks like this: //Godzilla/GODZILLADATA /windows/godzilla/data smbfs noauto, user, netbiosname=godzilla, guest 0 0 Since I can mount the shares fine "by hand", I'm assuming the fstab-file is OK. When i click on the icon I get: Could not mount device. The reported error was: SMB connection failed No more info I'm afraid. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Many thanks in advance and Happy Newyear. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ | Meije Oppenhuizen | Non-smoker since 2 years, 3 months, | | Utrecht, Netherlands | 29 days, 8 hours and 50 minutes | ------------------------------------------------------------------
