Hallo Michael,

i found the rpm's

cups-1.1.16-0.i586.rpm
cups-client-1.1.16-0.i586.rpm
cups-libs-1.1.16-0.i586.rpm

on 

http://mirrors.mathematik.uni-bielefeld.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/8.1-i386/RPMS.suse-people/

installed them with 

rpm -Uvh cups-1.1.16-0.i586.rpm cups-client-1.1.16-0.i586.rpm  
cups-libs-1.1.16-0.i586.rpm

and everything works fine.
