The are now. (see: ftp://ftp.eu.uu.net/pub/kde/unstable/latest/SuSE/ix86/8.0/) And indeed this solved my kmail start problem:
mv /opt/kde2/lib/libkjava.so.1.0.0.bak
cp /opt/kde3/lib/libqtjava.so.1.0.0 /opt/kde2/lib/libqtjava.so.1.0.0
