AW: [suse-kde] Anyone compiled QT 3.05 for 7.3 yet?
What is the problem with make etc?

Now I never use RPMs as they are such a pain and find I have so much more
control with make. An example is exactly what you are talking about -
someone else deciding what I need or don't need. I don't blame SuSE for
this, it is hard trying to please everyone and creating a foolproof method
of installation (Before anyone writes in saying how much easier it is in
windows - check your facts. One of my jobs is to write installers for the
windows platform and I hate it).

Regards / Mit freundlichem Gruß / Salutations

Betreff: [suse-kde] Anyone compiled QT 3.05 for 7.3 yet?

Hi all,

Those of us using < 8.0 have been frustrated with SuSE's foolish
policy decision to disable anti-aliasing in KDE 3.02+. Annoyed, I
tried to compile QT from the SRPM but keep getting error messages.
Has anyone compiled QT and is knowledgeable enough to package in RPM.
I'd much rather do this than have to mess around w/make, etc.

If not, I'll try to compile it and post one for everyone.
