Hi all, I've sent a submit requests for new version of java-1_6_0-openjdk and new icedtea-web package. This change follows upstream change, where the Java webstart (JNLP) and plugin implementation were moved to separate upstream project icedtea-web [1][2]. There are several reasons for that * users will know the plugin implementation is not a part of openjdk * ... and will know how to sue if their favourite applet will not work * separated release cycle - no need to rebuild complete JVM due a bug in plugin implementation - hopefully faster development and more releases improving the [1] http://icedtea.classpath.org/wiki/IcedTea-Web [2] http://dbhole.wordpress.com/2011/02/02/first-release-of-icedtea-web/ I hope I've fixed all corner cases during a testing, so update will be smooth.
