「今更そんなことを言われても」感の強いお知らせになってしまいますが、
Subject の通り、先日アップデートされた kernel 2.6.27.19-3.2-default を使
うと ATI のプロプライエタリ・ドライバ 8.582 が壊れるという現象が報告され
ているようです。

気になるのはこの報告に対する Coolo のコメントで、

the description of the Kernel Update said that this kernel Update breaks
KABI (which means all external Kernelmodule) .

「Kernel Update の記述には、この kernel の Update は KABI (これはすべて
の外部 Kernel Module を意味します)を壊すとあります。」

…という部分。"This should not happen again.(このようなことは繰り返される
べきではない。)"と言われても、現に「ビンゴ！」だった人には何の気休めにも
なりませんよね…。

とりあえず、kernel のアップデートを適用した後何かドライバなどが使えなく
なった、という現象に見舞われた方がいらっしゃいましたら、この線も疑ってみ
てください。
