お久し振りです．野宮です．

ATI の Driver 障害ですが，問題は，kdm が起ち上がらない，ということに尽きま
す．

つまり，小生が使っているのは，ATI Radeon X1600 ですが，これをまともに駆動で
きるのは，8.41.7 の Driver のみです．
これ以降の Driver では，openSuSE 10.3 が起動し，kdm が現れるべきところで止
まったまま (Freeze ではありません)となります．

そこで，Xorg.0.log は，何時も，

[...]
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Keyboard[0]" (type: KEYBOARD)
(II) Mouse[1]: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded
Could not init font path element /usr/share/fonts/TTF/, removing from list!

Warning: LookupDrawable()/SecurityLookupDrawable() are deprecated.  Please 
convert your driver/module to use dixLookupDrawable().

で終了してます．

確かに， LookupDrawable()/SecurityLookupDrawable() は，fglrx_drv.so に存在
します．が，これは，8.41.7 以降の Driver に限ったことではなく，8.41.7 その
ものにも存在します．ですので，

  Please convert your driver/module to use dixLookupDrawable().

が原因で kdm が起ち上がらない，というのは考え難いと思います．

そこで，KDM3 に問題があるのでは？，と考え，

  http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_10.3/

で Update しましたが，現象に変化ありません．

こういう場合，本当の原因が何処にあるか，というのを追求する手立てには，どの
ようなものがあるのでしょうか？
