A few weeks ago I reinstalled/configured the Win98 system.
And now for some reason I can't get it's ISDN card to work if the Fileserver is also connected to the ISDN line. When I unhook the fileservers ISDN card (and reboot) everything is fine.
In Win98 the Dynalink Linetester keeps giving Errors on different channels when both are hooked up, so I suppose there is some kind of interference. Could it be a faulty card?
Can anybody point me to a direction where I might find the answer to the problem?
I never had this problem before. Both cards and both machines have always been working when both were connected.
Did you change a cable or the cabling at all ? Normaly this behaviour is a sign of a crossed pair in one cable (or connection box). ISDN must connect 1:1 on all TE if not syncronisation is lost and the TE's shows errors, but each work, if the others are disconnected. -- Karsten Keil SuSE Labs ISDN development
