hi gordin,
May 29 09:58:48 linux ipppd[1269]: rcvd [0][IPCP ConfNak id=0x1
]
these are the ip-adresses for the primary and secondary name server. take a look in the script 'ip-up' and you see how it works.
Start yast (1) goto Administartion - Netzwerk konfigurieren - Netzwerk Grundkonfiguration and set the PtP Adress for ippp1 to 62.59.52.152 or 62.58.50.5 or 62.58.50.6 and try again.
nope, don't try this. the ptp-adress will always be overwritten by the ip you get from the provider. afair in the suse-support-datenbank there are some ideas to solve the problem with two different providers and how to configure the system correctly.
This is just a thought. I don't know if it is possible for a remote Server to have more than one IP over the same Phonenumber!
it is completely impossible. a server may have 2 or more names, but only _one_ ip-adress for every network interface. wolfgang
