Oh, that is not a solution for me.
I had software raid untill i opted for a raid 10( 4x HDD ) with the 3ware controller. It works just great, but I was wondering about this update.
....question still open....

Hi Andy,
I upgraded a system with a RAID1 array to SuSE 10.0 at the weekend. There was
a warning that the new kernel does not support RAID controllers at all and
the system needed to be migrated to a software RAID array. Since I had
already done this, there was no problem. I would suggest that you look at
migrating from hardware to software RAID before you upgrade.

Hi to all,
I got the 9550SX-4LP. It works great. OS: Suse 10.
The only thing I had to do is a firmware update to the controller and to
specify the drivers at Suse installation.
Now, I read about some problems when updating Suse ... more exactly a
kernel update, that the drives are not seen anymore after a reboot. I would
like to update the suse but I work remote and if the system doesn't boot
anymore then I have BIG problems.
Do you have any suggestions? or... it should work well....
Andy.
