Hello Thomas.

Thank you for the information.

I think that it has worked! The KPSK program now starts, but I have not had a
chance to check if it resolves any PSK signals.

When I found I couldn't run PSK in SuSE, I used the rig/computer
interconnecting leads for something else. So I will have to make some others
before I can try it, which will probably be at the week-end.

I never thought of Alsa and restarting it. I just used the sound as SuSE set
it up on installation. Must read the manual about Alsa.
