Dear GNOME users,
you probably heard about it or read it on the news [0]:
GNOME 3.16.0 has been released !
The repository GNOME:Factory [1] has been updated and will shortly
publish this to the world for the openSUSE Tumbleweed users that
a) can't wait
b) can't wait :)
c) accept that this did not pass all openQA tests yet (but runs on the
GNOME Team's machines)
For all the Tumbleweed users that are on the wait to get GNOME 3.16 into
the main repository: work is well underway for this and the full package
set is currently in Staging "G" (which other letter would fit as well?).
There are a few openQA hick-ups expected due to the vast amount of
changes (GDM running in a wayland session, tty7 remaining active for
GDM, the user session moving to 'the next free tty', some UI changes
here and there). You're welcome to follow progress on the Factory
dashboard [2], observing the letter 'G'.
Should you have any questions, please raise them.
Found a bug? File a bug report (preferably with a fix, but we also take
it without) on https://bugzilla.opensuse.or or directly on
https://bugzilla.gnome.org if it's more likely to be an upstream bug.
so long,
have a lot of fun!
Dominique and the entire GNOME Team
