I find this statement very problematic, putting the blame on GNOME
developers because of bugs in ATI driver. Moreover, with GNOME 3 being
released since April 6th and AMD "discovering" the issue 4 months later
(and it was present before final release..). GNOME people didn't report
the issue to nvidia, users did and I'm pretty sure other users did too
to AMD before August.

hi all,
I would like to clarify a little bit this discussion:
- finally, the crux of the issue here is that gnome developers should have
actually contacted AMD about this issue before releasing something which only
works on nvidia.
