Hi List,
Attempted to install and start gnome-shell on a 11.3 virtual-machine failed and now reverting to gdm seems impossible since I get a blank (white) screen whenever I try to login into Gnome.
In gdm, after selecting your user, you can choose another session than the "GNOME 3 Preview" one.

Hi dear Vincent, Well I used to start gnome shell with "gnome-shell --replace" from within a terminal. Right now I discovered that by cancelling my homedir/.config/gnome-shell and homedir/.config/compiz, then logout gdm as root and login again as user, finally gnome session is up again. Onto 11.2 gnome-shell works flawlessly, on 11.3 (vm) it seems to be broken.
