It will work if we have somebody enforcing the monthly check, ie, adding this to the meeting agenda.
As I see it, people adding themselfs to the wiki topic would have a huge task on their hand, checking pages to make sure they are current. It's also a great way to contribute if you don't have coding skills etc.
My (radical) opinion is that to keep a wiki up-to-date, we need to delete/archive old pages when they're really too old, except when it's something that we really really want to keep (like the Bugs page).
