Hi,

Just wanted to send a quick status update about G:F after the packaging
day. The short story is:

Package | openSUSE:Factory | GNOME:Factory | Upstream
---------------------------+------------------+------------------+---------
g-wrap | 1.9.10 | 1.9.10 | 1.9.11
gnome-power-manager | 2.24.1 | 2.24.1 | 2.25.3
gnome-user-share | 0.40 | 0.41 | 2.25.91
gobby | 0.4.7 | 0.4.9 | 0.4.91
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad | 0.10.8 | 0.10.8 | 0.10.10
libgda | 3.1.2 | 3.99.7 | 3.99.10
libmcs | 0.4.1 | 0.4.1 | 0.7.1

That the output of "osc gnome todo" (I trimmed a few characters at the
end, okay ;-)).

A few comments:

+ g-wrap: blocking on bug 472713 (we need a pkg-config file for
libffi): https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=472713
Else, it's pretty much ready in my branch, iirc.
+ gnome-power-manager: no devicekit-power, no 2.25.x
+ gnome-user-share: building in my branch. To have the file sharing
over webdav be announced over dns-sd, we need to package:
http://0pointer.de/lennart/projects/mod_dnssd/
(there's a FIXME in gnome-user-share.spec about this)
+ gobby: being worked on by FunkyM. It's a complete rewrite, and needs
new packages.
+ gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad: still need some legal love. Stanislav
might look at this.
+ libgda: I have an update ready in my branch, but it fails to build:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=569238
+ libmcs: hrm, no idea :-)
But I found out that nothing depends on it, so a good candidate to
kill or move to Contrib if someone wants to maintain it.

(anybody should feel free to finish g-wrap, libgda or to package
mod_dnssd)

Also, I had to disable most (all?) of the sharepoint related patches in
evolution since they break the build. I suspect I broke a patch at some
point -- when the build service ate the evolution package:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=472867
If evo people could look at the patches and either fix them (based on
the old patches), upstream them or kill them, that'd be great.

And last but not least, it seems we're hit hard by
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=472971
I guessed this comes from the new feature where the Build Service
discards rebuilt packages:
http://news.opensuse.org/2009/02/05/more-efficient-factory-development/
(Note that this feature will be awesome to stay up-to-date with
Factory!)

Cheers,

Vincent
