Re: [opensuse-gnome] Unique Features of Evolution
Hey SUSERocks,

As the maintainer of Evolution, I would like to provide you some
features I think are unique of Evolution, and are good to showcase

Interms of the backends, though Evolution has so many backends for
mail/contacts and calendar, some of the most unique and important things
are

* Connectivity to MS Exchange 2000 & 2003,
* MAPI based Connectivity to Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003 and
2007[though only 2007 is officially supported, but it can work
for the old MS Exchange Servers seamlessly] [OpenSUSE 11.1
onwards]
* Connectivity to MS Sharepoint servers[New in OpenSUSE 11.1]
* Connectivity to Novell Groupwise
* and many more

If you are looking at hand-picked unique features,

* Mail/Contact/Cal/Task/Memo integrated suite
* Desktop integration into GNOME
* Clock-applet calendar/task integration
* Addressbook integration with Nautilus-send-to,
OOo, Panel-Contact lookup applet, Pidgin, etc
* Attachment Reminder
* Message Templates aka Canned Replies
* Lot-better-search, Current/All account search
* Nicely cairo-rendered Calendar interface
* PST Import/migration plugin [Out of box support to import PST
files to Evolution on Linux]

There are infinite things I have missed, since they may be in TB or in
other apps in some form or other. Also I would run into
not-enough-memory if I continue writing on more features. Feel free to
ping me on specific details. If you need, I could provide you
screenshots etc. Thanks :-) for your nice marketing on Evolution.

For those of you who use Evolution, I am giving a presentation on
Evolution at GWAVAcon in a couple of weeks. I'm curious, what unique
features do you like about Evolution?
