Well, depends how you look at it :-)   If it is actually saving ~10% for
a lot of packages, then it'd be worth changing the .spec files. I don't
think anyone wants to go and make this change alone, so it's something
that could happen during a package update (which, I guess is not
happening that much for 11.1 anymore but...).

If I get some time this weekend, I'll have a look at it.
