-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Situation: The gnome updater applets sees there are updates pending. Following my custom, I fire yast (I like the -qt version of the software module more), instead of clicking the icon below. I do the updates. The applet doesn't notice and still says there are updates pending; this is expected. The problem is that there is no option to tell it "refresh now". Only weekly, hourly, daily. Not even "custom". Not nice. Maybe you should reconsider the gnome treat of not offering options, and create a setting to switch gnome into a more customizable environment with more clutter of options. At our choice, clutter, no clutter. I am a long time user of gnome, but often I miss features. It maybe right not offering a clutter of features for novices or people not needing them, but it would be nicer to have them at the flick of a switch for more advanced or inquisitive users. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
