G'day folks!

AlbertoP was kind enough to create a properties dialog box for the GNOME
Main Menu. He uploaded some screenshots [1] of it and we would like to
hear what you think about it.

Please post your comments/ideas/thoughts either on the wiki or reply to
this email.

Once we agree on the layout etc, I will try to implement it (no promises
of success though) [2] :-)

Thanks,
Magnus

Anything that makes it customizable has my vote!

- Main menu > General tab
1) Hmm... Minimum # of recent apps is 8, maximum # of recent apps is
2. Errmm..

Don't mind the numbers in there :-)

2) What about favorite apps?

What about them? You want to have a maximum for them as well (this
setting does not exist today)

That was my point. Shouldn't there be such an option? As well as an
option to manage what favorites to add? The only way I know to add to
favorites is to drag an application icon from elsewhere.

To take it one step further, wouldn't it be nice if users have the
option of displaying either favorites or recents? Personally, I have no
use for "recents." I never use them except when it is an option within
an application, such as OpenOffice or AcroRead. If I had the option to
not display recents, that would free up alot more space to store
favorites.

Also for the general tab, how about an option for whether to display
icons or not?
