Hello there, hello James,

i agree 100% with your opinion abut kde. i myself was also "dangling"
between gnome and kde since 98 (or 99?). i stabilised on gnome, but
about a month ago i was so annoyed with nautlius bug (on 10.2, with
suse updates) that i switched to kde. a week ago, i had the courage to
install the gnome from the build service onto my box, and now, i'm
again a happy gnome user :)

BUT, what i miss now from gnome:

- "reboot to XX OS" in kde menu. This is very cool, you don't have to
sit and wait for grub, you can go to kitchen, get a mug of coffee and
XX OS will wait you ready.

- on screen lock (and gdm login): no CAPS LOCK waning, no language
icon (i have to use 3 different keyboard layouts here!)

- keyboard layout support sucks. kde has even different "scopes":
window, global... for changing layouts.

- kdesvn rocks. (i do not like the overexagerated thing about "kde
integration", but this one is cool)
