[opensuse-gnome] Problems with evolution + exchange - Suse 10.1

Hi,
I had problems in the past with this combination (Exchange 2003, AFAIK).
Then, after some update it started to work again and now it doesn't work anymore.
The symptom is that it crashes on startup (multiple times consecutively), and finally stays open, but mails are not correctly downloaded.
It hangs at "Nach neuen E-Mails sehen (zu 100% abgeschlossen)".
It seems similar to this bug:

What can I do about this?
Updateing to SuSE 10.2 is not really possible at the moment.
