Bon, forcément, ta Suse elle va avoir du mal à booter là ! Aucune référence à ta Suse. Quelque soit ta version installée ! Je te donne le mien, que tu voies la différence, j'ai une 10.1 et une 10.2 installées en parallèles, un peu comme ta ubuntu et ta suse. Et ça, c'est le grub.conf (menu.lst) généré par la Suse 10.2. Donc, si j'en crois ton post sur allionet, t'as une Suse pas finalisée qui peut pas booter sur le disque vu que ton Grub est complétement foireux pour booter la suse. J'espère que tu ne partages pas le même /boot pour al ubuntu et la suse, sinon, ça va être galère. Si c'est pa sle même / boot, regarde que grub démarre, si c'est celui de la suse ou celui de ubuntu. Dans le cas où c'est celui de la Ubuntu, ce qui m'a l'air d'être le cas, sinon t'aurais pas pu booter et me sortir ton grub.conf, rajoutes à la mano les références au kernel Suse. N'oublies pas la notation de grub pour les disques et les partoches, c'est "-1" par rapport à la notation "normale". La partition hda1 devient (hd0,0). Une fois que tu auras réussi à booter correctement sur ta Suse, tu devrais pouvoir continuer ton install. Courage :) Messages précédents laissés pour référence après retoursur la ML :)

(je n'ai plus accés a suse 10.1 pour le moment, je bloque sur l'écran noir expliqué dans le lien précédent ; xp marche encore puisque je te poste de là :) je dois tester si ubuntu est ok ) Tu peux très bien booter avec un LiveCD et copier ton grub.conf là où il sera lisible :)

De plus, as-tu essayé d'installer en "Safe Mode", c'est une des options du DVD, j'ai pas son nom véritable en tête. Mais bon, déjà, ça pourrait aider pour la détection correcte.
Par ex, moi, dans le post précédent, j'ai indiqué qu'il fallait désactiver l'APIC pour que mon lecteur de DVD soit bien reconnu.
Il faudrait aussi avoir ton grub.conf sous les yeux pour voir si y'a pas soucis là dedans.
J'ai quelques problèmes avec l'ACPI et l'APIC, il est possible que ce kernel soit un peu foireux....
