Feature changed by: Dominique Leuenberger (dimstar) Feature #313038, revision 6 Title: Remove "tracker" from lxde openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Lutz Thuns (lotz1009) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: As LXDE is intended to provide a LIGHTWEIGHT desktop environment, unnecessary bloats like tracker should not be provided with it. Unfortunately the openSUSE pattern for LXDE contains Brasero, which automatically brings tracker as a dependency. Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: We want to keep a L ightweight- X - D esktop- E nvironment LIGHTWEIGHT. Discussion: #1: M. Edward Ed Borasky (znmeb) (2012-08-05 05:56:17) I wasn't aware Tracker was in the LXDE pattern. I use Tracker, but I don't mind installing it myself. Is there a CD burner besides Brasero? + #2: Dominique Leuenberger (dimstar) (2012-08-09 09:05:26) (reply to + #1) + XCDRoast (does that still work ? :) ) Actually, on 12.2, the tracker + dependencies have been largely changed, and only the libraries should + be pulled in by Brasero, but not the tracker miners themselves. Might + be worthy to verify before too much change on the other parts are + looked at. + See https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=724554 -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/313038
