Feature added by: user user (AkitaNeru) Feature #313380, revision 1 Title: openSUSE NET installation - package selection - install only crucial software openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: user user (akitaneru) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: OpenSuse NET installation ISO have great feature in which you can select which packages to download and install. But i'm not Linux experts so I don't know which packages are 100% crucial for Linux operation and which packages are excess baggage. So if you cloud add a checkBox on screen when you select desktop environment ("Desktop selection"). Which will tell installer that I want only crucial packages which are requited to start openSUSE in selected desktop environment. (no codec, no music players, no video players, no web browsers, no samba, no printers, no office, no command prompt tools for system administration, ...) I can in "Installation settings" screen easily add packages which I need on my PC. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/313380
