[openFATE 308435] pdftk
Feature changed by: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger)
Feature #308435, revision 18
Title: pdftk

- Package Wishlist: Unconfirmed
+ Package Wishlist: Evaluation by engineering manager
Priority
Requester: Important

Requested by: Tristan Miller (psych0naut)
Partner organization: openSUSE.org

Description:
pdftk is a tool for splitting, merging, encrypting, decrypting,
uncompressing, recompressing, watermarking, and repairing PDFs.  It was
included in openSUSE 11.1 but seems to have been dropped, with no
explanation, from openSUSE 11.2.  There seem to be some developers on
the Build Service who have made packages, but it would be better to
have it as an official package.

We can get pdftk-qgui from Packman, but no pdftk!
There is eally nothing out there that can edit PDFs, including addition
of watermarks and stamps.

#2: Martin Schröder (oneiros) (2010-10-06 17:23:07)
It had be unmaintained for some years, but recently a new maintainer
has been found and he has just release v1.43. Please include pdftk into
11.4.

#3: Carlos Lange (cflange) (2010-10-26 09:02:47)
Can we get a Buildservice version for 11.3?

+ #4: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) (2012-03-06 14:07:20)
+ pdftk has been added back for openSUSE:12.1 again.
