Feature changed by: Rajko Matovic (rajko_m) Feature #312965, revision 5 Title: ask.opensuse.org openSUSE Infrastructure: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Marcus Moeller (marcusmoeller) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Askbot platform are very popular these days, and a good alternative to classic forums. They offer some features, forums do not provide (e.g. voting). Other popular Linux distributions are already very successful using this method of offering support. Some examples are: http://askubuntu.com (http://askubuntu.com) or http://ask.fedoraproject.org (http://ask.fedoraproject.org) The latter is based on Askbot.org (http://askbot.org/) which is a open source/free software solution for that purpose. If you think this could be a benefit for the project, please vote for this feature. + Discussion: + #1: Rajko Matovic (rajko_m) (2012-02-17 05:30:16) + I prefer open source solution used by Fedora, but that means more work + to develop proper css to match the rest of openSUSE sites. Ubuntu + solution is on the other hand on a server that is populated with other + topics, which will give a bit more visibility to openSUSE. Stack + Exchange (http://stackexchange.com/) is about 7 times more popular then + openSUSE, according to Alexa.com . -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/312965
