Feature changed by: Lars Müller (lmuelle) Feature #313224, revision 2 Title: Support for disks/raid >> 2,2TB openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Hans Witvliet (digi_hans) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Does SuSE support disks/raids larger than 2.2TB? From current info it is unclear if SuSE supports this. Grub legacy (out-of-the-box) does not support it, as it should use GPT with 64-bit block numbers. It seems that there is a patch for grub, but it is unclear if that is applied to current (12.1) version of OpenSuSE. If so, then docu might be enhanced, as currently disks with a capacity of 3TB are COTS, and RAIDs with such capacity are comonly found. Other option, is the use of grub2, but that's another feature + Discussion: + #1: Lars Müller (lmuelle) (2012-02-13 17:14:47) + See also the discussion on the openSUSE list at + http://lists.openSUSE.org/opensuse/2012-02/msg00653.html -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/313224
