Feature added by: Tim Edwards (tk83) Feature #313028, revision 1 Title: Yast partitioner should show de-activated VGs/LVs and allow them to be activated openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Tim Edwards (tk83) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Sometimes LVs (LVM Logical Volumes) won't come up in status 'Active'. This happens often for example if you boot the Opensuse 12.1 LiveCD on a machine which uses LVM partitioning. You have to manually follow this procedure to get the VGs and LVs to show up: pvscan # find all Physical Volumes vgscan # find all Volume Groups lvscan # find all Logical Volumes lvchange -ay /dev/TestingVG/home # activate a Logical Volume that's not activated by default The YAST partitioner should automatically find all Physical Volumes and Volume Groups and show the deactivated Logical Volumes, with an option of course to activate these. The YAST Partitioner is the most logical place for this functionality in a GUI program. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/313028
