Feature changed by: Thomas Schmidt (digitaltomm) Feature #312834, revision 4 Title: connect needs to allow uploading of videos - openSUSE Infrastructure: Unconfirmed + openSUSE Infrastructure: Rejected by Thomas Schmidt (digitaltomm) + reject reason: Too much work to implement this and host large amounts + of video data. There are free solutions we can use. Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Jean-Daniel Dodin (jdd) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: We need to have a connect with enough features. Uploading videos is very important, because no other place fits our needs. Videos have to be downloadable by the user (optionnally), have a known licence (CC-BY would be great, -SA acceptable) can be done with very restrictive forat allowed (suffice to give the ffmpeg command line to get the video to the right format). We need also a place to store videos in mpeg dvd format, but probably not in connect. Connect is good for web capable video. html5 recommended Discussion: #1: Jan Engelhardt (jengelh) (2011-09-26 09:43:58) What? #2: Thomas Schmidt (digitaltomm) (2011-09-26 09:49:17) Why don't we use a free hosting service for the videos such as our youtube channel? We can then link / embed them where needed. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/312834
