  Title: Connect calendar on news.o.o to connect upcoming events

Description:
  Currently the news team manages upcoming events. Not everyone sends in
  new events - team meetings are usually there but openSUSE @ a
  conference almost never makes it. Connect however has a nice, easy to
  use 'event' system which IS used by the ambassadors already. Having
  these show up in the calendar on news.o.o would be awesome!
  It would also be useful for team meetings, of course, as well as all
  other openSUSE related events.

  Use Case:
  On Augst 6-12 in Berlin the Desktop Summit takes place and a lot of
  openSUSE people will be there. Create a event on connect and let
  everyone click "I will attend". Now on news.o.o this event shows up in
  the calendar and anyone can see who will be there from the openSUSE
  team!
   
  Business case (Partner benefit):
  openSUSE.org: It lowers the efforts required to manage events by the
  news team. It also lowers the barrier for people to add events and
  makes sure more events show up.
  The calendar could also have a nice(r) view somewhere and attendance
  can show up on attendees' webpages.
