[openFATE 310519] Support
Feature changed by: Sascha Peilicke (saschpe)
Feature #310519, revision 3
Title: Support

- Buildservice: Unconfirmed
+ Buildservice: Done
Priority
Requester: Important

Requested by: Anomyous Anomyous (jcat123)
Partner organization: openSUSE.org

Description:
Every release that is the start of a new version (XX.0, e.g. 11.0)
should have a lifetime lasting until the next major version.1+2 months.
For example, openSUSE 12.0 would be supported from its release to two
months after 13.1 This would make openSUSE effective for businesses who
don't have time to upgrade their operating systems every 18 months.
Plus, don't forget that they have to re-train their support services
with every release. This is a critical disadvantage to openSUSE against
Ubuntu. If openSUSE had this, along with YaST, it would compete very
well in the Linux world as it once did in the early-to-mid-2000's.
