Feature changed by: andrea florio (anubisg1) Feature #308376, revision 3 Title: wicd like a network manager openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Agustin Chavarria (dj_ubun_1) Description: The network manager in opensuse 11.2, sucks! i use wicd for months and i dont have any problem with that. It will be great use wicd like a network manager in opensuse 11.3 Discussion: #1: Roger Smith (dwarfer99) (2010-01-22 10:17:45) I have not been able to get NM working in ANY version of KDE 4 on a r60e. WICD however works first time. I would agree, for a number of reasons, that I do not think that NM should be the default for openSUSE, but mainly because - it simply doesn't work for me, and many other people. KDE is up to a 4.4 release, and still NM is crippled. I endorse the idea of using WICD as default. + #2: andrea florio (anubisg1) (2010-01-22 10:34:06) (reply to #1) + wicd is quite broken really, and any way, the problem is NOT network + manager (that perfectly works), but the "applet" developed by kde4 + guys. + from my side, i ALWAYS switch to gnome applet (nm-applet) even on kde + and it works like a charm -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308376
