Feature changed by: Adrian Schröter (adrianSuSE) Feature #306656, revision 6 Title: Quick hack for anonymous read-only access to build service - Hackweek IV: Unconfirmed + Hackweek IV: Rejected by (adrianSuSE) + reject date: 2009-10-29 08:24:04 + reject reason: iChain is not the problem here (it can bypass everything + in anonymous mode). The problem is about to make an anonymous mode + usefull and not be missused by just let pointing everybody to download + rpm and iso files via our api server. + However, tom is currently already working in the direction of an + anonmous web client, but not as quick hack. Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Juergen Weigert (jnweiger) Description: Currently iChains is in front of build.opensuse.org, thus a read-only mode without login is not possible. As a quickfix hack: Let us implement a Guest User, who is (automatically?) logged in to iChains without any mouseclick. The Guest User shall have no write permissions, but shall have a login button, which allows user to change to their own login later. Discussion: #1: Juergen Weigert (jnweiger) (2009-07-06 13:44:29) this would be a first shot at FATE#306192 #2: Vincent Untz (vuntz) (2009-07-17 18:26:39) FWIW, I did a hack to let people access the files: http://tmp.vuntz.net/opensuse-packages/browse.py Something cleaner as proposed here would be nice. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/306656
