Feature changed by: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) Feature #306977, revision 8 Title: allow the user select all desktop in installation selection dialog - openSUSE-11.2: Unconfirmed + openSUSE-11.2: Rejected by Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) + reject date: 2009-08-12 14:52:53 + reject reason: Already possible. Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Sergio Gabriel (dahool) Description: Replace option buttons in current desktop selection dialogs by checkboxes allowing to select more than one desktop. Discussion: #1: Stephan Binner (beineri) (2009-07-29 09:10:37) This about about which desktop? And what do you want to achieve? #2: Carlos Robinson (robin_listas) (2009-07-29 14:43:44) (reply to #1) All desktops. We want to be able to select right at a main installation dialog a list of desktops to install, not only one. None should be selected by default (or, if that is not desirable, choose a random on on each install). Ie, replace the current selection dialog, which uses radio buttons, with checkboxes. This would allow to select one, two, three... desktops. Currently, if we want two or more desktops, whe have to use an advanced dialog. #4: Stephan Binner (beineri) (2009-07-29 17:22:19) (reply to #2) Ok, now I got it that this is about distro installation. :-) #3: Armindo Díaz Argaña (armindiaz) (2009-07-29 16:33:05) Disagree It should look simple and not complicated. With a default desktop and then chooses to change if not satisfied. #5: Carlos Robinson (robin_listas) (2009-08-01 13:01:08) (reply to #3) Well, then add an [advanced] button and put the checkboxes there. + #6: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) (2009-08-12 14:51:56) + This is possible already - go to the software selection and add the + patterns you want. Everything else is a nightmare usability wise. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/306977
