Feature #306580, revision 4
Title: provide trademark-neutral branding packages
- openSUSE-11.2: Unconfirmed
+ openSUSE-11.2: Evaluation
Priority
Requester: Desirable
Requested by: Juergen Weigert (jnweiger)
Description:
Wit 11.2 we plan to provide e.g.
* MozillaFirefox-branding-opensuse.rpm and
* MozillaFirefox-branding-upstream.rpm
for the user to easily substitute our branding with an original
upstream branding. This implements opensuse trademark guidelines for
modified distributions, but in case of Firefox, we should also provide
a
* MozillaFirefox-branding-template-neutral.rpm or similar
to also implement Mozilla trademark guidelines.
+ Discussion:
+ #1: Andreas Jaeger (a_jaeger) (2009-07-09 14:42:30)
+ What's the benefit here? I think the two branding packages should solve
+ the large majority of use cases. If somebody wants a "neutral"
+ branding, they can add it - but I would not push it.
