- /usr/sysconfig
- /usr/config
- /usr/etc
I don't like any of them. My understanding is the files to go in the new location are the distribution's deviations from upstream defaults that admins might wish to override in /etc/ or users via their homedirs. None of the suggestions suggest this. Something like /usr/distcfg/ might, but /distcfg/ or /dconfig/ IMO would be better still. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science.
