open an xterm, call "nmtui". Works also in virtual console. no GTK needed.

I've run into similar issues in the past where pin interfaces to various apps would not work (gnupg, etc..) after a fresh minimal install preparing for KDE3. The problem usually is the result of forgetting the pinentry packages, e.g. pinentry pinentry-gtk2 May not be your issue here, but the package dependencies for various password type entries in several applications rely on some version of pinentry and the dependency isn't always pulled in. I'm about to try 15.1, so I'll report back if I see similar behavior. -- David C.
