I use:
poll SERVER.net with proto imap timeout 20, and tracepolls user R_USER, with password PASS, is L_USER here, and fetchall, expunge 20, folders Inbox, Spam, Junk
Hi Carlos,
For me the syntax doesn't works, only the first folder of the list went fetched: I.E. Folder1, to fetch the messages contained in the other, I need to invert the order in fetchmailrc.
I wont use fetchall, I want to fetch only the new not read messages.
Another weird thing is the fact I don't see my original message of this request, I have just received your answer.
Hold on! That last paragraph means you are using gmail - check the "From" field; indeed, it is so.
(yes, known gmail /feature/)
Ok, Gmail uses their own implementation of the protocols, so things get different, and results are different.
Then, you do not see your original message because Gmail thinks it is a duplicate and intentionally deletes it. Gmail only keeps the first copy it gets with the same Message-id. The copy from the list arrives later, thus it is deleted.
If I reply to your post using "reply to all" you will only get my direct post, not the copy sent by the list server. Etc.
If you want to verify your email was posted, go to hhtp://lists.opensuse.org
With gmail, I have not tried to retrieve other folders but Inbox (I move good mail out of the spam box to the inbox).
You could try this concoction or similar:
poll SERVER.net with proto imap timeout 20, and tracepolls user R_USER, with password PASS, is L_USER here, and fetchall, expunge 20, folders Inbox
poll SERVER.net with proto imap timeout 20, and tracepolls user R_USER, with password PASS, is L_USER here, and fetchall, expunge 20, folders Spam
Ie, one "session" per folder. It will just add a fraction of a second. Yes, it is not neat.
Re fetchall: it works (not on gmail) because nothing is left on the server, I only keep my own copy, not on the imap server, because there is a size limit.
Could you please confirm me my MAIL From if it contains my name?
Yes, it does.
Thanks Carlos, I keep reading and Googling...
and maybe this should be moved to "opensuse" or "opensuse-offtopic" as it does not fit the description for opensuse-factory in any way.
please be considerate. all this conversation does is detract from the time dev's have to devote to fixing problems.
and fwiw, "opensuse" appears to be the new "opensuse-offtopic". lets not make "opensuse-factory" the same.
opensuse-support@ would have been the most correct place.
