The following gave 886 lines, as user and as root, I copy the first and the last line.
rpm -q --whatrequires texlive | sort > atemp_what_requires.txt
texlive-12many-2016.113.0.0.3svn15878-28.2.noarch ... texlive-zapfding-2016.113.svn31835-27.2.noarch
then rpm -q --whatrequires texlive | grep -v tex
perhaps requirements changed for a package you have installed. rpm -qa *tex* provides 8 packages on my Tw and the only texlive package is a font
on my computer, as root and as user, rpm -qa *tex* no output???
then: rpm -qa |grep -v tex
The only thing I changed was installing Libreoffic 5.2. I have removed it now an use the one from Tumbleweed.
Could you help me with the appropriate zypper settings for removing texlive. An important one I found already --dry-run.
zypper -v rm texlive I don't understand "--dry-run" as I always have to confirm zypper actions unless I use "-y" and I don't. but really, using "SuSe for 15 "expletive" interesting years" should have provided you with the knowledge to figure out these things yourself, unless you count sitting in front of a monitor as using .... expletive deleted! -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
